About us

Leadership Development

We pride ourselves on ensuring that the best leaders in our schools access the best support, guidance and learning to excel in their careers. We work hard to retain excellent leaders and offer a very personalised approach to supporting talented leaders to achieve their potential so they can make the biggest difference for our children.

Designate Leader Programmes

Through our annual succession planning process we offer all staff the chance to access the trust's Designate Leader Programmes which are led by executive Headteachers and senior leaders from with our trust schools. Each programme enables the delegate to access a range of support including:

  • 1 to 1 coaching
  • Book Clubs
  • Trust wide projects
  • Stretch roles and secondments
  • Speaking at events
  • Leading learning collaboratives
  • Research projects

We offer Designate Leadership Programmes in Middle, Senior Leadership, Headship and Executive Leadership. Teachers and Leaders are invited to take part in these programmes annually by the Executive Leadership Team.

Applications can be made to each of these programme during the Autumn term and all places are subject to completing a successful interview process. Please contact our central team or your headteacher for more details.

In addition to accessing the learning from the programmes our schools can also get involved in Inspiring Leaders through:

Annual Leadership Conference

The Inspiring Leaders Leadership Conference is exclusively available to those within the Inspiring Leaders community, including the alliances that make up our partnership and our current and past participants. This two-day residential conference in Nottingham is now in its fourth year and is considered a key CPD, sharing and networking opportunity for our school leaders. It is a chance for inspiration, reflection and professional dialogue with like-minded colleagues from across the region. In times of change, now more than ever it is essential that school leaders have a clear vision and philosophy, a vision for their schools and rise to the challenges our system presents.

Through a programme of internationally recognised key notes, quality workshop leaders, specialist leaders of education and local best practice, we aim to support delegates to develop and clarify this vision. This year's Leadership Conference will take place on the 23rd and 24th November 2017. Speakers include Mary Myatt, James Kerr, Andy Buck and Jaz Ampaw-Farr and will include a range of workshops, school led mini-workshops, market place and closing panel.

The conference is attended by all of our Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers as a core part of our annul leadership development.
