Want to give back to your community?
DSAT schools are seeking volunteers from our local community to be Advisory Board members.
Our Advisory Boards have a key role in influencing the development of their schools and ensuring they are meeting the needs of the children, gathering views of the parents, pupils, staff, and stakeholders and give them a voice at the highest level of the Trust. Advisory Boards have no delegated decision-making authority but do act as a ‘critical friend’ for the school, providing a sounding board for school plans and new strategies, bringing an informed external perspective on the work.
If you can spare some time to attend up to 4 meetings a year, then why not volunteer to become a school Advisory Board member? Volunteers do not have to be parents nor do they need first-hand experience of the education system. Anyone over the age of 18 and living in the UK can apply to be an Advisory Board member. No prior knowledge is required and a comprehensive range of training and support is provided and is free of charge.
Appointments are subject to successful DBS clearance.
